Performer

PerformerSince 1980, Larry has been a member of the Baltimore Consort, an internationally acclaimed early music ensemble specializing in popular music of the Renaissance era. The Consort has released sixteen recordings on the Dorian and Sono Luminus labels, and maintains an active touring schedule throughout the US, Canada, and Europe of 12-15 concerts annually. Larry co-directed the Consort’s current touring program, “Food of Love: Songs for Shakespeare,” which has played to enthusiastic audiences coast-to-coast. Larry principally plays bass viola da gamba in the group, but occasionally switches to Renaissance winds—recorders, krummhorns, and gemshorn--to add extra color. Visit Baltimore Consort for more information.

Larry has been a frequent faculty member (and past director) of Early Music Week at Pinewoods near Plymouth, MA, and leads workshops for various early music organizations. He will be on the faculty of the Amherst Early Music Workshop in August, 2023.

Larry is the Music Director of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Lehigh Valley (UUCLV) where he directs the Beacon Choir and is the Artistic Director of the Second Sunday Concert Series.
